Baker City Municipal Airport Announces 1.1% DBE Goal for FFY16-18

Baker City Municipal Airport announces a 1.1 percent overall participation goal for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-assisted contracts during Federal Fiscal Years 2016-2018. The methodology used in developing this goal is available for inspection during normal business hours at the Office of the Public Works Department, P.O. Box 650, 1655 First Street, Baker City, Oregon 97814. The Airport will receive and consider public comments until April 30, 2016.

The Airport Commission was created to advise the City Manager regarding the management, care, and control of the Municipal Airport (Heilner Field). Here are some of the Commission main duties:
  • To recommend rules and regulations, not inconsistent with the laws of the State of Oregon and the United States of America
  • To suggest rules and regulations of the Federal Aeronautics authority
  • To propose needed beautifications and development of the Municipal Airport
  • To make recommendations concerning expenditures for the benefit of the Airport from such funds as to be appropriated by the City Council
  • To assist the City Manager in making an appearance before the Budget Board
The Commission consists of 7 members, 4-year term.
