Police Department

- A Message from Police Chief, Ty Duby -

Welcome to the Baker City Police Department website.  I am extremely pleased to serve the people of Baker City as your Chief of Police.  Our mission is to work in partnership with our community members, to actively promote the safety and welfare of our citizens, along with enriching their quality of life through the delivery of professional police services.  I am extremely proud of the men and women of the Baker City Police Department and their commitment to serving our community through community policing.  We strive to maintain and promote public safety as well as the livability of our community with fair, compassionate, and unbiased service.   We embrace the partnership with our citizens and allied agencies to further the safety and livability of our community.

The Baker City Police Department believes in community policing, transparency and listening to feedback from our community, both positive and negative.  We know that our success as an agency in keeping our community safe can only be done with the help and support of the citizens we serve.   We are fortunate to be supported by our community and City Council.   We know that support is no accident and that it has been earned through years of professional police service.  We also know that trust must be earned every day and on every call.
