Building Inspector II-Full Time, represented/benefited position. Salary Range: $3,651-$4,230/month. 

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Inspects one and two family dwellings and commercial buildings for structural, mechanical and plumbing compliance with State codes and City ordinances; performs residential and commercial plan reviews; inspects manufactured dwelling set-up installations and alterations.  Provides administrative and clerical support to the Building Department and assists in the administration of the standard operating policies and procedures of the department.  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  Hold and maintain the following: State of Oregon or ICC Certifications:

· Building Inspector (Commercial/Residential)

· Building Plans Examiner (Commercial/Residential)

· Mechanical Inspector (Commercial/Residential)

Minimum two years construction and/or inspection experience or any equivalent combination of related education and experience which demonstrates provision of  knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.

Police Officer.  The City of Baker City is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Police Officer.  Salary Range: $4,341-$4,892/month + 3% intermediate and 5% advanced certificate incentive pay and longevity pay incentives.  Lateral candidates may be placed in the salary range D.O.E. In addition, vision, dental and medical insurance and retirement are added benefits. Minimum qualifications: Meet all DPSST standard minimum qualifications for police officer.  Must receive basic certification from DPSST within one year of appointment as police officer; attend police academy within 90 days after appointment; pass physical agility, written exam, a complete background check and psychological exam.  Preference may be given to certified police officers. Must be at least 21 years of age.

City Engineer/Project Manager. Full-time. Salary range: $5,416-$6,667/month DOE plus excellent benefits. Applications will be accepted until filled.

Performs administrative, supervisory, and professional engineering work necessary to manage the engineering, construction inspection, and survey of the Public Works Department and to fulfill the statutory obligations of the City Engineer/Project Manager's position. Provides first line supervision to two Public Works Department employees within the Technical Services and Facility Maintenance division (one employee), including assigning and reviewing work; planning, design and inspection of Public Works projects as assigned by the Public Works Director; preparation of project cost estimates and schedules; bidding of projects.  

Minimum Qualifications: 
Bachelor‘s degree in Civil Engineering, are preferred to be licensed as PE in in the State of Oregon, or must have at a minimum, PE license from another state with the ability to secure an Oregon PE within six months of employment.  
Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Oregon or Professional Engineer from another state with ability to secure Oregon PE. 

Preferred Education and Experience:
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) designation desired.
