PUBLIC WORKS DATA ANALYST/MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT - The Baker City Public Works Department is seeking a self-motivated, organized professional for the position of Data Analyst/Management Assistant. As support staff to the Director and Supervisors, performs a variety of routine and complex clerical and secretarial work, coordinating projects as assigned, keeping official records, and providing administrative support to the Director and other Supervisors as necessary. This position works cooperatively in a team-oriented environment, assisting other personnel and/or departments as necessary. As Information Analyst this position has the responsibility for analyzing department budgetary, compliance, project or other data as requested by the Director or Supervisors and preparing appropriate spreadsheets, reports or graphs.
Qualifications: Applicants must have two years’ experience in office and secretarial work; training in secretarial and office practices and personal computers; proficient in Microsoft Office, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience. Applicant must be able to pass typing test at 40 wpm net. Bachelor of Business Administration preferred. Full-time: 40 hours per week.
Salary: $3,000-$3,511 per month DOQ. This is a non-union benefited position.

TEMPORARY PARK AMBASSADOR- The Baker City Public Works Department is seeking applicants for a temporary position as Park Ambassador. The Park Ambassador will monitor assigned park areas to ensure safety and security for daily park users. Communicates with citizens and develops positive relationships with park users and visitors by providing assistance and information. Enforces City and departmental regulations as appropriate, and informs law enforcement of disturbances as needed. Performs basic custodial task to ensure cleanliness of park equipment
Qualifications: Familiarity with Baker City and surrounding areas. Experience working with the public. Must be able to pass background check. First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
Salary: $16-$18 per hour DOQ. This is a temporary, non-union non-benefited position.
